#noplasticpack

According to study, published in journal Science Advances, mass production of plastics which began just six decades ago, has accelerated so rapidly that it has created 8.3 billion metric tons world-wide,
6.3 billion metric tons has become plastic waste. Of that, only nine percent has been recycled.
Every year, Europeans generate 25 million tonnes of plastic waste, but less than 30% is collected for recycling. Across the world, plastics make up 85% of beach litter. And plastics are even reaching citizens' lungs and dinner tables, with microplastics in air, water and food having an unknown impact on their health (European Commission - Press release).
Normally, plastic litter can take up to 1000 years to decompose!!
According to First Vice-President of European Commission Frans Timmermans, responsible for sustainable development: "If we don't change the way we produce and use plastics, there will be more plastics than fish in our oceans by 2050."
This is something to think about!
At Slopes and Town we've chosen not to use any plastic packaging.
We are going even further by trying to minimise unnecessary packaging: we don't waste paper to enclose printed invoices or return forms.
Our invoices are emailed to you directly and then you can chose whether you need to print it. If needed, our return form can always be requested from our customer service team by sending an email to info@slopesandtown.com.
Our mail boxes protect not only your future accessory, but also the environment. They are at least 70% made from recycled paper and are also fully recyclable!
